Foundations of Thyroid Testing Course

This is a foundation course that looks at the fundamental tests available to assess thyroid function.
This course aims to build your knowledge on when and how to test for thyroid function and thyroid disease, and how to interpret test results.

In this course we cover:
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) testing
  • Thyroxine (T4) testing
  • Triiodothyronine (T3) testing
  • Thyroid Antibody Testing (TPOAb, TGAb & TRAb)
  • Reverse T3 testing
  • Special Conditions in thyroid testing (such as pregnancy, Downs syndrome, congenital thyroid disease & autoimmunity/diabetes)
  • Additional Tests (these include other biochemical & functional tests (incl. heavy metal testing & MTHFR) that can help to determine patient health picture and potential thyroid disease)
  • Co-Factor Nutrients (nutrients that are vital to the health of the thyroid and how they can be tested)
